Punk’s comments started with him trying to set the record straight about him allegedly trying to force Colt Cabana out of the company, but then devolved into rants about Hangman Page and how The Elite operate as executive vice presidents.

“What did I ever do to deserve an empty-headed f—ing dumb f— like Adam Page to go out on national television and go into business for himself? For what… didn’t go a g—n thing,” Punk said.

“There’s people who call themselves EVPs that should’ve f—ing known better,” Punk continued. “This s— was none of their business. I understand sticking up for your f—ing friends, I f—ing get it. I stuck up for that guy more than anybody. I paid his bills until I didn’t. And it was my decision not to.”

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer reports that the AEW World Champion was injured while defending his title against Jon Moxley on Sunday.

The injury, which is believed to be the result of a tope performed during the match, is said to be serious, and the situation regarding the AEW World title “has to be changed and addressed tonight,” regardless of the fallout from the post-show comments from Punk, which led to a locker room brawl between Punk, Ace Steel, Kenny Omega, Matt Jackson, and Nick Jackson, with AEW talent relations members Michael Nakazawa, Pat Buck, and Christopher Daniels also intervening.

It is said that the fight got so intense that at one time a chair was hurled, and Steel is said to have bit Omega at another point.

As a result of this week’s AEW Dynamite, both Punk and The Elite have been stripped of their respective championships.

There was no mention of any of these characters during the episode due to the potential legal situation that could arise out of the brawl. AEW World Trios Champion Death Triangle quickly became the new champions of the AEW World Trios tournament. This tournament was launched that evening to crown the winner of the AEW World Championship.

At the AEW Grand Slam, which will take place on September 21, Chris Jericho will face Bryan Danielson in the semifinals. Jon Moxley will face Sammy Guevara in the finals of the tournament. As far as the whole situation is concerned, Punk, The Elite and AEW President Tony Khan have all remained silent about it.
