Ex-Harambee Stars Striker Boniface Ambani Unhurt But Shaken in Road Accident

Former Harambee Stars striker Boniface Ambani is a grateful man after he survived an accident on Thursday morning along the busy Nakuru-Nairobi Highway.

The retired Kenya international had his car sandwiched between a lorry and another car, but escaped unhurt despite his car suffering extensive damage.

The accident which took place in Nakuru County after a lorry knocked hus car from behind left Ambani shaken, taking to social media to thank God for saving him from the ordeal.

In God we trust. It is always good to pray before you travel. I am out safely. A speeding Wells Fargo Lorry, the cause of the accident. My journey to Nakuru ends here at Kijabe. Shaken but strong,” he said.

The former AFC Leopards and Tusker striker was travelling alone in the car and despite the damage on the other vehicles, there were no casualties.

“A Wells Fargo lorry hit my rear and in turn I hit the car just in front of me. To me that was careless driving since the weather was unfavorable,” Ambani noted.

He was however able to continue with his journey, after a couple of hours, with a different means after the accident was booked in at Lari Police Station.

“Lari Police Station, I am safe and sound. I am humbled by the reaction across the nation and beyond the border. You guys have shown me love, overwhelmingly,” he said.

Ambani who also played for Tanzani’is Young Africans, finally managed to get to the Rift Valley Institute of Science and Technology, his former college where he had a Sports and Career talk.
