Match day 25 of the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League was full of action, with a total of nine matches being played in various stadia across the country.
One of the notable matches of the weekend was runaway leaders Kakamega Homeboyz being held to a 1-1 draw by Sofapaka at the Kasarani Annex and blowing up the chance to stretch the lead at the summit to 12 points as second placed Tusker had been held to a controversial barren draw by Gor Mahia the previous day.
As a result of the draw, Abana Beingo who are on course for their first league title lead standings with 52 points, ten points ahead of closest challengers Tusker with just eight games to the end of the season .
In another exiting match, AFC Leopards stretched their unbeaten run to ten games by rallying from a goal down to beat struggling Wazito FC 2-1 at the Thika Stadium.
James Kinyanjui capitalized on early defensive blunder by Ingwe to give Wazito the lead but John Mark Makwatta restored parity before the break before Fasanmi Ojo Olaniyi rose from the bench to score a late winner for AFC Leopards.
In Sudi, Bungoma County, Bandari returned to winning ways by edging out hosts Nzoia Sugar in a dramatic match thanks to goals from William Wadri and Kevin Kimani as the Millers got their consolation through James Kibande.
