Liverpool won Carabao Cup in thrilling final. Marcelo Bielsa has been sacked from Leeds. Antonio Conte questions the strength of his team after a disappointing start of his tenure. AC Milan is tied with Neapol at the first place.
It was an action-packed Sunday in the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League as five matches went down in various stadia across the country, to close the weekend that marked the start of the second half of the season after a two-week midseason break.
In one of the five matches, Posta Rangers completed a double over Posta Rangers this season, beating them 2-1 at the Thika Stadium, just two weeks after beating them 3-2.
The loss has sank Mathare United further in the relegation zone, currently lying bottom of the log with 11 points, 15 points from safety with just ten games to go.
In another bottom of the table clash, Nzoia Sugar were forced to a barren draw at home to Vihiga Bullets at the Sudi Stadium in Bungoma, but the hosts were largely to blame for the stalemate due to their wastefulness in front of goal.
Okanda Felician twice came close to breaking the deadlock in the first half but fired wide on both occasions, leaving the home support appalled.
