Tusker midfielder Eric Zakayo has called on his teammates to remain focused as they seek to bounce to back to winning ways against Wazito in Tuesday’s FKF Premier League match.
The defending FKF PL champions missed a chance to narrow the gap on league leaders Kakamega Homeboyz to seven points after being frustrated to a 1-1 draw by visiting Kenya Police last weekend.
But according to Zakayo, the joint-third placed brewers who are enjoying an eight game unbeaten run must now be clinical in front of goal.
“We need to work on improving out output upfront. We have to be sharper and calmer infront of the target to score goals and collect maximum points,” said Zakayo.
“We are doing well in creating chances but the finer details in the box need to be better. I believe if we sharpen and ensure we take the opportunities we get, we can go all out against Wazito and take maximum points.”
Reflecting on their Saturday’s draw against Police, the Kenyan international said it was painful to drop the points.
“We played well and only failed to use the chances that came our way. But we are thankful for the point because it is better than none.”
