Tanzanian striker Ibrahim Joshua satisfied with first leg performance at Tusker, yearning for more

Tanzanian striker Ibrahim Joshua says he is so far satisfied with his achievement on debut at FKF Premier League defending champions Tusker.

Joshua has scored four goals for the brewers including in last Friday’s 2-0 away win to Sofapaka.

The goal saw him take his season tally to four and one assist.

The helped Tusker narrow the gap on league leaders Kakamega Homeboyz (40) to seven points as they extended their unbeaten run to seven matches.

But to score four goals and provide an assist for Joshua is a huge achievement.

“I am thankful for what I have achieved so far. Although it is not what I had initially targeted, I have to be grateful for those that I could achieve. This is a motivator for me to work harder and do better. My target is to keep scoring and increase my numbers at the end of the season,” said Joshua.

He is more delighted on how they have managed to turn around their fortunes after a poor start to the season.

“A Tusker we do our work in silence and results are seen on the pitch. We will continue doing that and hopefully we can be able to be champions again,” said Joshua.

“For sure it has been a few games since I scored and I was working very hard to try and get back to finding the back of the net. I was really pleased to break my drought.

“It was a tough game but we worked as a team and everyone played their role. We followed the coach’s instructions and we ended up with three points. We want to keep the momentum flowing.”
