Ulinzi Stars defender Peter Glenn Wafula has expressed his delight after making his FKF Premier League debut in last week’s barren draw against defending champions Tusker in Nakuru.
Wafula, who joined the former champions at the start of the season from Gunners FC (Arty Bde), thanked the technical bench and his teammates for the support.
The defender was more than pleased to have been part of the squad that kept a clean sheet in the rescheduled fixture, just a few days after the soldiers had lost 2-0 in Nairobi.

“I am thankful to God and the entire team, that is the technical bench and the players, for the support in the build up to all that. I have been working for this since I joined the team,” said Wafula.
“The moment I stepped in the field I felt encouraging words coming from every corner and it made me feel I was in the right place. It gave me a sense of belonging. I want to help the team ease off the pressure when I get the chance.”
He added: “Getting a clean sheet on debut gives me a very good feeling. It was a product of team work from the entire backline starting with the goalkeeper. Communication from everyone was top notch.”
